Design

Every piece of jewel begins with an exchange of ideas. I’ll listen to your wishes and then I’ll offer you the best project to design the perfect product. Starting from a memory, a stone, or a symbol, together we’ll establish how to perfectly combine each component.

Micro-sculpture and casting

Chirsich jewelry takes life through the ancient and fascinating technique of lost-wax casting. Each piece develops its soul and shape, thanks to a careful work of micro-sculpture on wax. Then, each model undergoes a process of melting in gold and silver and is poured into a plaster mold, removing the excess wax (hence the term “lost-wax”) and injecting the molten metal. The thousand-year-old lost-wax technique has been essential in the 5th century BC for the creation of the Riace bronzes and, much later, medieval bells.

Finishing

After the casting, the jewel is subject to the finishing process. With care and accuracy, I use emery paper, fine-grained files, polishing pastes, and abrasive rubber bands to enhance the light of the metal. Then, it’s time for the stone setting, either prong setting or hammer setting, according to what we have decided in the design phase. Finally, if needed, there’s room for laser or galvanic engravings: the final touches for your piece of jewelry.

Packaging

Each piece is sold in eco-friendly packaging. The FSC® trademark guarantees that the packaging comes from certified forests, where wood is used in accordance with the most sustainable timber farming methods. Kraft paper bags, cardboard cases for shipping, and BRT-branded envelopes are made with environment-friendly and eco-sustainable materials.
