If you don’t know your size and still want to buy a ring, place the shank of one of your rings on the 0 of a numbered ruler (or a tape measure) and measure its diameter.

Remember: ring sizes differ from each other by a few tenths of a millimeter (a tight fit on an index finger could be perfect for a middle finger) and factors like body temperature and blood pressure may temporarily alter your size.

Besides, the hand you use to write is generally larger than the other.
